Key responsibilities

  • Team leadership: Manage, mentor, and motivate a sales team to achieve both individual and collective goals.
  • Sales strategy: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives and expand market share.
  • Client and partner management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, industry partners, and stakeholders.
  • Market analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to adapt sales strategies.
  • Sales performance: Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports for senior management.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work with marketing, product development, and installation teams to align strategies and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Deal closing: Negotiate and close large-scale sales deals and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the process.
  • Lead generation: Identify new market opportunities and customer needs.

Qualifications and skills

  • Experience: Proven sales experience, ideally in the solar or renewable energy industry, often with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Education: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, marketing, or engineering is typically required. An MBA is often preferred.
  • Technical knowledge: A strong understanding of solar technology, products, and market trends is essential.
  • Leadership and communication: Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills are crucial for managing a team and clients.
  • Analytical skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for market research and strategy development.
  • Technical proficiency: Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite is expected.
