Role & responsibilities

  • Manage and track all payments to vendors and carriers, as well as collections from clients. This includes verifying invoices, processing payments, and following up on overdue accounts.
  • Record all financial transactions, such as expenses, invoices, and receipts, using accounting software like Tally. Ensure the general ledger is maintained accurately.
  • Reconcile bank statements with the company's internal financial records to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management information system (MIS) reports on sales, purchases, and cash flow.
  • Help analyze logistics costs and track spending against the budget to identify opportunities for cost savings and improved efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including the preparation and timely filing of GST and TDS returns. Manage the collection of TDS certificates from customers.
  • File other statutory returns as required and maintain proper records and documentation for tax and audit purposes.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary financial documents and explanations.
  • Oversee client billing, prepare service bills and quotations, and manage e-way bills for logistics operations.
  • Work closely with the operations, dispatch, and warehouse teams to ensure that all financial data aligns with logistics activities.
  • Coordinate with vendors regarding account statements and address any payment-related inquiries from customers.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, or other ERP systems).
  • Strong knowledge of Indian tax regulations, including GST and TDS.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience ranging from 1 to 5 years, with specific experience in the logistics or packers and movers industry being a significant advantage.
