Job Title: Robot Team Lead Robotics & Automation

Location: Bangalore Urban, Karnataka, India

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and technically proficient Robot Team Lead to oversee automation projects involving industrial robots. The role requires strong expertise in robot integration, commissioning, and team leadership to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction. The candidate will be responsible for guiding a team of robotics engineers and coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver high-quality automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead installation, programming, and commissioning of industrial robots for automation projects.

    • Work with leading robot brands such as Fanuc, ABB, Yaskawa, and KUKA.

    • Conduct robot simulations using tools like Roboguide, Motosim, or KUKA Sim for motion and process optimization.

    • Establish communication between robots and PLC/CNC systems and integrate accessories such as vision systems.

    • Prepare and review Interface Control Documents (ICD) for robot inputs/outputs with external control systems.

    • Select robot models based on payload, reach, and process requirements.

    • Plan and execute robot commissioning and ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards.

    • Prepare detailed functional analysis reports, operation manuals, and customer documentation.

    • Provide technical guidance and training to robotics engineers and technicians.

    • Collaborate with design, electrical, and control teams for successful project handover.

Project & Technical Responsibilities:

  • Perform system-level integration with mechanical, electrical, and software components.

    • Ensure all robot installations comply with safety and performance standards.

    • Participate in factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT).

    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in programming, tooling, and process efficiency.

    • Support service and maintenance teams in troubleshooting and resolving robot issues.

    • Maintain documentation as per ISO standards and internal quality protocols.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

• B.E. / B.Tech. / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.

Experience:

• 8–12 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation and robotics.

• Proven experience in installation and commissioning of Fanuc, ABB, Yaskawa, or KUKA robots.

• Experience in team handling, project execution, and customer coordination.

Skills & Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of robot programming, simulation, and integration.

    • Strong understanding of industrial automation processes and PLC/CNC communication.

    • Ability to lead, train, and mentor a team of robotics engineers.

    • Excellent communication and project management skills.

    • Proficiency in robot simulation software and MS Office tools.

    • Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.

    • Willingness to travel across India as per project requirements.
