Estimation cum Design Engineer

Job Description :- 1Cost Estimation: *Analyze project specifications, technical drawings, and requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates for air handling units (AHUs) and associated components. *Utilize estimation software, historical data, and industry benchmarks to develop detailed cost breakdowns for materials, labor, equipment, and overhead expenses. *Collaborate with sales teams, project managers, and engineers to review project scopes, identify cost drivers, and develop competitive pricing strategies. 2Vendor and Supplier Management: *Identify and evaluate potential vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors for AHU components, equipment, and services. *Obtain price quotes, negotiate contracts, and establish procurement agreements to secure favorable pricing and terms. *Coordinate with procurement teams or purchasing departments to facilitate timely acquisition of materials and supplies. 3Bid Preparation and Proposal Development: *Prepare comprehensive bid proposals, including cost estimates, technical specifications, and commercial terms, in response to client inquiries or tender invitations. *Review contract documents, specifications, and drawings to ensure alignment with project requirements and compliance with regulatory standards. *Coordinate with procurement teams, vendors, and subcontractors to obtain pricing for equipment, materials, and services required for AHU projects. 4Value Engineering and Cost Optimization: *Identify opportunities for value engineering 5Documentation and Reporting: *Prepare comprehensive estimation reports, cost summaries, and proposals for submission to clients, contractors, or project owners.

*Maintain accurate records of cost estimates, revisions, and communications related to AHU projects. *Provide regular updates and status reports to project teams and management regarding estimation progress and outcomes. 6Product Design and Development: *Conceptualize and design air handling units (AHUs) based on project specifications, technical requirements, and industry standards. *Utilize CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to create detailed 2D / 3D models of AHU components and assemblies. *Perform structural analysis, airflow simulations, and thermal calculations to ensure optimal performance, energy efficiency, and durability of AHU designs. 7Component Selection and Integration: *Select appropriate components, such as fans, coils, filters, dampers, and controls, based on project requirements, performance criteria, and budget constraints. *Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to evaluate product specifications, obtain quotes, and ensure compatibility with AHU designs. *Integrate selected components into AHU designs while considering factors like space constraints, accessibility, and maintenance requirements. 8Compliance and Standards: *Ensure AHU designs comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., ASHRAE, HVAC codes) for safety, performance, and environmental sustainability. *Stay updated on emerging technologies, advancements, and best practices in AHU design and HVAC systems to incorporate into design projects. 9Testing and Validation: *Develop testing protocols and procedures to validate AHU designs for performance, efficiency, and reliability. *Coordinate with testing laboratories or in-house testing facilities to conduct prototype testing and performance evaluations. *Analyze test data, identify areas for improvement, and iterate on designs to optimize performance and address any deficiencies. 10Documentation and Reporting: *Prepare detailed design documentation, including technical drawings, specifications, bill of materials (BOM), and installation instructions. *Generate design reports, progress updates, and presentations for internal stakeholders, project teams, and clients. *Maintain accurate records of design changes, revisions, and version control throughout the design process.
