To enable this, Sadhana: Teaching Excellence Lab:
- Runs reflective, practice-oriented Fellowship cohorts for pre-service teachers and recent graduates entering the teaching profession
- Offers online and in-person learning spaces anchored in contemporary teacher education research and CETE s academic expertise
- Functions as a resource and practice hub where fellows and teachers can explore new pedagogies, experiment with tools and continuously develop their craft
- Partners with schools and educational institutions to create meaningful internship and classroom practice opportunities, and to support placement pathways for successful fellows as teachers in these institutions
Through this Fellowship and the ecosystem around it, Sadhana aims to contribute to improved classroom practice and, in the long run, better learning outcomes for children in schools.
About the Role
The Admin Assistant, Sadhana, Teaching Excellence Lab, will play a key role in managing the operations of the Lab. The Admin Assistant will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth functioning of the centre and achieving desired outcomes in establishing the centre as a high-resource hub for teacher professional development.
Key Responsibilities
Centre Management (40%)
- Manage Housekeeping person - Ensure hygiene and cleanliness duties are well performed by the housekeeping person as required.
- Procure stationery and cleaning supplies as required
- Manage and coordinate repairs maintenance of the centre
- Inventory Management - managing the assets and materials, maintaining documentation
- Centre internet management
Program Implementation Coordination (30%)
- Coordinate logistics, schedule sessions and other programs, ensuring adherence to the operation plan of the centre.
- Support the procurement of required materials, handbooks and teaching-learning resources for the centre.
- Assist in tracking program participation to measure impact and ensure quality control.
Operational Administrative Support (30%)
- Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of Sadhana: Teaching Excellence Lab, working closely with administrative, maintenance and security teams.
- Maintain digital and physical records of program activities, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with reporting standards.
- Maintain records of MOUs, assets etc.
- Support photocopying/printing work as per the needs of sessions, events or workshops
- Assist in organising events, workshops, and meetings related to teacher training and capacity-building initiatives at the centre by coordinating with the vendors, shopkeepers and maintaining bills.
Requirements Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:
- Educational Qualification: H.S.C. pass (required)
- Computer Knowledge: Able to work on MS Office/Emails/ Google Suite (Drive, sheets, docs. etc.)
- Must be able to write and type in English and Marathi and understand English. Hindi is optional but preferred.
- Ability to take initiative and work in an autonomous semi-structured environment.
- Adaptability to change responsibilities and resourcefulness to respond to change.
- High openness to learning
- Ability to build and sustain relationships with multiple vendors
- Patience and resilience to stick it out in the face of setbacks and uncertainties
