Job Title: C Programmer – HPE Nonstop (Tandem) Platform

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced C Developer with strong programming and system-level understanding to join our HPE Nonstop (Tandem) development team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain mission-critical, fault-tolerant systems that operate 24/7 to support real-time transaction environments in banking, payments, and telecommunications, where reliability, scalability, and uptime are paramount.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance C/C++ applications on the HPE Nonstop (Tandem) platform.

  • Utilize Nonstop's fault-tolerant architecture (such as process pairs) to ensure seamless failover and high availability.

  • Integrate with key Nonstop components, including the Guardian operating system, Nonstop SQL, ENSCRIBE, and interprocess communication (IPC) mechanisms.

  • Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to deliver reliable and secure applications for payment and financial domains.

  • Support modernization initiatives by transforming legacy Nonstop applications and integrating them with modern distributed environments or RESTful APIs.

  • Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and performance analysis to ensure system stability and integrity.

  • Work with essential HPE Nonstop utilities such as FUP, TEDIT, SCUP, TMF, and PERUSE for program management and deployment.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in C or C++ development on UNIX/Linux systems.
  • Strong understanding of memory management, file handling, pointers, and multi-process architectures.
  • Experience with real-time systems, socket programming, or high-availability transaction environments.
  • Good knowledge of version control tools (Git, SVN).
  • Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills in large-scale systems.
  • Willingness to learn and work in the HPE Nonstop (Tandem) environment, including TACL scripting, PATHWAY, and TMF.

  • BE / B.Tech / MCA or equivalent degree in Computer Science or related field.
