Job Title: AWS Solutions Architect

Location : Bangalore (Onsite role)

Job Summary:

MicroGenesis is seeking a seasoned AWS Solutions Architect with strong pre-sales and technical architect capabilities to design, articulate, and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions on AWS. The ideal candidate will work closely with customers, internal sales teams, and technical delivery team to provide cloud strategy, architectural guidance, and solutions throughout the engagement lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Architecture

  • Design end-to-end AWS architectures for enterprise-scale workloads across domains (e.g., migration, data, DevOps, security, analytics).
  • Create detailed High Level Design/Low Level Design, reference architectures, and solution blueprints aligned with AWS Well-Architected Framework.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate AWS services based on requirements for compute, storage, database, networking, and security.

Pre-Sales & Customer Engagement

  • Partner with sales/account teams during discovery to understand business and technical requirements.
  • Lead technical discussions and whiteboard sessions with clients to position AWS-based solutions.
  • Respond to RFPs/RFIs with detailed technical responses and effort estimations.
  • Build and deliver technical demos, PoCs, and solution presentations to stakeholders.

Implementation Oversight

  • Work with delivery teams to ensure solution from design to implementation.
  • Support migration planning, cloud-native re-architecture, and automation using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

Security & Governance

  • Recommend and implement security best practices including IAM, KMS, VPC design, and compliance frameworks (ISO, HIPAA, etc.)
  • Contribute to policy and governance models for multi-account AWS environments (Control Tower, SCPs, etc.)

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Stay current on AWS service releases and industry trends to propose innovative solutions.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Must-Have:

  • 8 to 10 years total experience, with at least 7 - 8 years in AWS cloud architecture and 2+ years in AWS pre-sales roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience in designing and deploying AWS solutions at scale.
  • Deep knowledge of core AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, CloudFront, Route53, CloudWatch).
  • Proven success in customer-facing pre-sales or consulting roles.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (CloudFormation, Terraform).
  • Hands on experience with Linux
  • Experience with cloud security, compliance, and cost optimization techniques.
  • Container and microservices architecture design
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, anyone SCM tools like Github).

Nice-to-Have:

  • Exposure to data engineering tools on AWS (Glue, Redshift, Athena, Lake Formation).
  • Experience in hybrid cloud integrations and AWS Direct Connect, VPN, etc.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification
