We are seeking a Data Center Lead to manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of our data center, ensuring the seamless functioning of our VMware environment, Linux-based applications, and network infrastructure, including firewalls and switches. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in virtualization, Linux systems, and network infrastructure, along with proven leadership abilities to guide and mentor a cross-functional team.

Experience:
  • 10 years of hands-on experience in managing complex data center environments.
  • Expertise in managing VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and vMotion.
  • Proficient in Linux system administration across multiple distributions (RHEL).
  • Strong experience in configuring and managing firewalls, load balancers, and network switches (Palo Alto).
  • Solid understanding of IP networking, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), VLANs, and VPN.
Technical Skills:
  • Virtualization: VMware (vSphere, vCenter, vSAN), Hyper-V.
  • Networking: Cisco/Juniper switches/routers, IPsec, SSL VPN, BGP, OSPF, QoS.
  • Linux Administration: RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, Bash scripting, system automation (Ansible/Puppet).
  • Storage Management: SAN/NAS, iSCSI, NFS, FC, vSAN.
  • Automation: PowerCLI, Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools.
  • Monitoring & Alerting: Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, ELK Stack, SolarWinds.
  • Backup & Recovery: Veeam, Commvault, NetBackup.
Preferred Certifications:
  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or higher.
  • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or similar Linux certification.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher.
  • Palo Alto Networks (PCNSA, PCNSE) or similar network security certifications.
  • CompTIA Security or equivalent security certification.
