SEO Infrastructure Engineer

Overview

Were hiring a high-performance SEO + WordPress builder to architect, build, and scale from scratch a powerhouse of content-dense, technically sound websites that dominate organic search. This role blends deep Technical SEO, WordPress engineering, programmatic/AI workflows, and data/attribution in collaboration with PPC & Social teams. Candidates must be fluent in white-hat strategies and literate in gray/black-hat tactics for competitive intelligence, detection, prevention, and recoveryexecuted only within company policy, legal, and platform-compliance guardrails.

Key Responsibilities

1) Architecture & WordPress Development (Greenfield)

• Design the site ecosystem blueprint (domains/subdomains, ccTLD vs. subfolders, headless vs. classic WP, CDN topology, cache layers, security model).
• Provision hosting & infra; implement CI/CD pipelines (Git-based deploys, stagingUATprod), rollbacks, monitoring, and error logging.
• Build high-performance WordPress sites (single & multisite), custom themes/plugins, CPTs/ACF, Gutenberg blocks, child themes, and code reviews.
• Front-end & PHP customization (HTML5, CSS3, JS, PHP basics), accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA), and Core Web Vitals budgets.
• Performance stack: caching, code splitting, responsive images (srcset), prefetch/preload, Cloudflare/CDN, DB tuning, optional Redis/object cache.
• Security & reliability: WAF/hardening, TLS/SSL, RBAC, backups/DR runbooks, uptime & synthetic monitoring.

2) Technical SEO, Indexation & Site Governance

• Robots, programmatic XML sitemaps, canonicals, pagination, hreflang, parameter handling, and crawl-budget policies.
• JS SEO & rendering diagnostics; log-file analysis; duplication/thin-content prevention and content pruning/refresh SOPs.
• Structured data (JSON-LD) for rich results (FAQ/HowTo/Product/Review/Organization/LocalBusiness/Video/News, as relevant).

3) SEO Strategy, Content Systems & Authority

• Keyword intelligence at scale: clustering, SERP & entity/intent mapping, topical authority, hub & spoke architecture.
• Content ops: briefs, editorial calendars, internal-link frameworks, author/brand E-E-A-T systems (bios, reviews, trust pages).
• Link acquisition: white-hat outreach, digital PR, branded SERP sculpting, domain authority growth.
• International & Local SEO: hreflang at scale, market rollouts, multi-location GBP, listings syndication & review ops.

4) Data, IP/Metadata Tracking & Cross-Channel Collaboration

• IP & metadata intelligence (privacy-safe): reverse-IP/company lookups, geo, device, referral, UTM & session metadata; lawful enrichment to inform PPC/SM targeting.
• Attribution alignment with PPC & Social: UTM governance, GTM (web & server-side), consent mode, enhanced conversions/CAPI, offline imports.
• Build SEOPPC/SM audience loops (retargeting high-intent organic traffic) and feed insights back into content/SEO roadmaps.
• Dashboards & reporting (GA4, GSC, Looker Studio, BigQuery); anomaly alerts and decision-ready insights.

5) Advanced Growth & Risk-Aware Tactics

• Full-spectrum tactic literacy (white/gray/black-hat) for intel, detection, prevention & recovery (e.g., PBN/link schemes awareness, doorway/cloaking detection, parasite/authority piggybacking)—execution only within policy/compliance.
• Penalty defense & recovery: manual actions, disavow, detox, traffic restoration plans, negative-SEO defense.

6) Programmatic, AI & Automation

• Programmatic SEO frameworks: datatemplate generation with quality gates, anti-dup/near-dup checks, internal-link automation.
• AI-assisted research & production: entity mapping, outline generation, human-in-the-loop QA; scheduled crawls, log parsers, and auto-alerts.

7) CRO, PPC Alignment & Ops

• A/B & multivariate testing on LPs; funnel diagnostics; improve Quality Score via landing-page speed/relevance.
• Release management & QA: SEO pre-launch checklists, regression checks post-deployment, incident response for traffic drops/manual actions.
• Documentation & governance: SOPs/playbooks, backlog & prioritization, sprint planning with dev/design/content, vendor/tool procurement.

Required Experience

• 3–6+ years in SEO + WordPress development with proven results building and scaling large sites (10k–1M+ URLs).
• Demonstrable case studies/portfolio (traffic growth, rankings, conversions, technical fixes, programmatic scale).

Skills & Tools

SEO/Research: Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Sitebulb/JetOctopus/OnCrawl, Surfer/Frase/ClearScope, NLP/entity tools.

Analytics/Attribution: GA4, GSC, GTM (web + server-side), Looker Studio, BigQuery export, UTMs, consent mode v2.

Tracking & Intel: Clearbit Reveal/6sense (company intel), IP2Location/MaxMind (geo/IP), Facebook CAPI, Google Enhanced Conversions, LinkedIn Insight Tag, TikTok Events API.

WordPress/Dev: WordPress, WooCommerce, Gutenberg/ACF, Elementor/Divi (as needed), PHP/theme dev, Git, CI/CD, Cloudflare (CDN/WAF).

Performance: Lighthouse/CrUX, WebPageTest, image/CDN policies, code splitting, prefetch/preload, lazy-loading.

CRO/UX: Optimizely/VWO, Hotjar/Clarity, heuristic reviews, funnel analysis.

Automation/Data: SQL basics, Python/regex for audits, Search Console/Analytics APIs, Apps Script, scheduled crawls.

Education

• UG/PG: Any Graduate / Postgraduate (Marketing/IT preferred).
