Software Architect

CESS (Customer Engineering and Software Services) is charted to provide SW solutions that reduce complexity while elevating performance of our products in customers' ecosystem and enable us to scale. We as part of CESS Custom Security organization are actively looking out for a Software Security Firmware Architect to help us support our innovative product offerings for our Automotive customers.

Your responsibilities

• Architecture design, and problem-solving for complex, performance-critical applications, often requiring strong C skills and experience with embedded systems.
• Build technical leadership: Create close technical relationships at our key customers & partners for NXP to become the trusted advisor.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, and firmware teams to ensure seamless system-level integration of solution components
• As the security firmware architect, you identify the key customer technical challenges from a customer use case perspective, establish system-based solutions and drive the process for developing and implementing these solutions at our customers.
• CESS team is working closely with the product lines, using standard products and software they develop to adapt the implementation as per our customers' specification.

To be successful in this role you have:

• Extensive experience in Automotive Systems, with deep understanding of technologies, trends and needs
• Extensive experience in defining, developing, and implementing security software, ideally with a strong embedded firmware development background
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and debug firmware
• Experience with Agile methodologies and software development lifecycles
• Experience in Functional Safety (ISO
• Familiar with cybersecurity ISO 21434 ,
• Strong understanding of security standards, security protocols, cryptography.
• Strong understanding of Security Threat modelling and risk analysis and application of countermeasures.
• Strong technical skills with a team first mentality.

Strong ability to work cross functionally, across many stakeholders to drive towards common goals and objectives

• Ability to engage with key technical stakeholders at customer to build trust and confidence
• Experience in working with global teams in matrix organizations.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with 10 years or more relevant experience.
• Experience with technical analysis and decomposition of customer use-case.
• Proven experience in Microcontroller Architecture, Software, SoC Architecture, or system-level Integration.
• Strong expertise in C programming, Enterprise Architect (UML).
• Strong understanding of microprocessor and microcontroller architectures, including CPU cores, DSP, memory management, and peripheral integration.
• Familiarity with Linux, Zephyr, Free RTOS, or any similar operating systems is a big plus.
• Strong collaboration skills to work directly with customers and across multidisciplinary teams, including silicon, software, firmware, board design engineers and program management.
• Experience in Automotive software development processes.
