About the Role :

We are seeking a highly specialized and technically proficient OTM Consultant (5-8 years experience) for a remote, offshore role. This position requires deep, hands-on expertise in the configuration, integration, and architectural oversight of Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) solutions. The consultant will be the key driver in translating complex global logistics requirements into scalable OTM design proposals, managing technical specialists, and ensuring robust integration across enterprise B2B systems.

Responsibilities :

- Technical Solution Architecture : Lead the design and documentation of end-to-end OTM solution architectures, specializing in defining complex rate structures, cost types, multi-modal planning parameters, and shipment lifecycle management within the OTM framework.

- Integration Development : Define and validate technical specifications for integrating OTM with external systems using technologies such as XML/XSLT, web services (SOAP/REST), and the OTM Integration Interface (e.g., transmissions, smartlinks).

- Functional Implementation Depth : Apply deep knowledge from 3-4 Full Life Cycle Implementations to configure core OTM modules, including Order Management, Shipment Planning, Execution, Financial Settlement, and Freight Audit.

- External System Interfacing : Advise on best practices for integrating OTM with transport ancillary systems (HERE for geo-coding/mapping, Transporeon/Centiro for visibility) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle EBS).

- Agile & DevOps Delivery : Drive technical workstreams within an Agile/DevOps methodology, using experience from at least one full lifecycle implementation to manage sprint backlog, technical debt, and continuous delivery of OTM enhancements.

- Data Model & Schema : Possess a strong understanding of the underlying OTM data model to troubleshoot data inconsistencies and advise clients on custom data requirements while minimizing reliance on custom tables.

- Technical Oversight : Direct and coordinate work packages delivered by technical specialists (e.g., database administrators, integration developers), ensuring adherence to technical design documents and quality standards.

- Client Advisory : Present detailed technical and commercial solution proposals to external clients, articulating the technical benefits of the proposed OTM configuration and its impact on core transportation SLIs/SLOs.

Required Skill Set (Mandatory Skills) :

- OTM Expertise : 5- 8 years of hands-on technical and functional experience with OTM, including deep familiarity with OTM screens, security setups, agents, saved queries, and workflow configuration.

- Implementation Experience : Completion of 3-4 Full Life Cycle Implementations of OTM or similar enterprise TMS solutions.

- Methodology : Practical experience and good knowledge of Agile and DevOps delivery frameworks.

- Integration Protocols : Strong understanding of XML/XSLT for data transformation and experience defining or working with SOAP/REST API specifications for OTM integration.

- Geographical Scope : Proven experience implementing and localizing transport solutions in at least two distinct geographical regions.

Preferred Skills :

- Direct experience utilizing GTM (Global Trade Management) functionalities integrated with OTM.

- Proficiency in SQL/PL-SQL for querying the OTM database to troubleshoot planning logic and performance issues.

- Experience with cloud hosting environments (OCI, AWS, Azure) and associated security/network concepts relevant to a SaaS/Cloud OTM deployment.

- Certifications in OTM or related supply chain planning tools.
