- ontribute and assist to the planning, scheduling, and controlling strategy for assigned projects as guided by PMs/PCM, so that the approach taken in each case is effective and appropriate to the project needs and client requirements including setting standards and procedures, identify warning, prepare relevant project control dashboards for internal and external stakeholder communication.
A - ssist PMs/PCM with producing the EAC and Report on progress and earned value, to support financial forecasting and any necessary corrective action.
O - ther duties and assignments as required by the Senior Project Controller or Engineering Manager.
A - ssist Project Managers and Project Engineers with estimates and plans for bid/tenders.
C - ontribute to the performance culture, incorporating the WSP values, which develops individuals' capability through an active performance management process, so that not only delivery for the company is enhanced but also the skills, capability and personal satisfaction of an individual is maximised.

ey Competencies / Skills

- asic project management skills
H - ands on experience in using Microsoft Project/Primavera P6, Power BI and other Planning and Control software.
U - nderstand and has utilised Critical Path Method (CPM), Earned Value (EV) Techniques, and Basic project management skills.
B - asic knowledge of the philosophies, principals, practices & techniques of planning.
P - rovide reports/metrics including Critical Path, Earned Value, EAC variance, Critical milestones movement, KPIs.
C - onduct detailed reviews of actual transactions and expenditures. Produce regular cost control reports to support informed decision-making.
S - ignificant relevant experience (2 to 5 years) in project planning and controlling.
A - dvance level expertise in using MS Excel/ Word for developing tools and dashboards.
E - xcellent communication skills written and verbal.
E - xperience in working with international planning and project controls teams.
A - bility to work in a team environment with minimal support.
E - xposure to UK Highway/Local County Councils and work experience in Highway projects advantageous.
P - ossess the ability to work to tight deadlines and in changing environments.
C - onduct monthly budget validation for new projects or those with recent change orders (CO).
C - ollaborate with controllers to verify the accuracy of financial reports, flagging discrepancies to PMs.
A - ssist with margin erosion tracking, ensuring alignment with project budgets.
U - tilize Oracle Financials to pull data for financial analysis and validations.
A - ct as a liaison between project managers and controllers for project rebase lining tasks.
A - ssist PMs with rebase lining logic and guidelines when triggered by budget or performance deviations
Q
ualifications
M
- inimum: Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent project management qualification.
E - xcellent understanding of project management techniques, in addition to effective planning and scheduling skills.
P - referable to have relevant domain certifications.
M - embership of professional organisations like PMI, RICS, APM etc
E - xperience in project management or project controls from the range of 2-5 years.
P - roficiency in Microsoft Excel and Oracle Financials.
