Job Responsibilities

Mandatory:

  • 3D CAD design of plastic injection-molded parts using CATIA V5 R24.
  • Design parts using constrained sketches and Boolean operations with inner/outer methodology.
  • Work within product structure using multi-skeleton methodology.
  • Develop detailed HVAC part designs following Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) standards.
  • Prepare technical proposals and presentations.
  • Create detailed drawings for HVAC parts and assemblies with GD&T, considering manufacturing and inspection techniques.
  • Conduct tolerance stack-up analysis and ensure CAD quality through self-checks.
  • Perform vehicle packaging investigations and concept modifications.
  • Manage design data in PLM systems.
  • Ensure timely and cost-effective completion of assigned tasks.

Essential Skills & Competence

  • CATIA V5 (Part Design, Assembly, Drawing): Autonomous
  • HVAC Product Knowledge: Autonomous
  • Manufacturing Processes (Injection Molding / Casting): Autonomous
  • Functional Dimensioning & ISO GD&T: Autonomous
  • Tolerance Stack-up Analysis: Autonomous
  • Functional Analysis: Learner

Preferred Profile:

  • 3- 6 years of hands-on experience in automobile HVAC design.
  • Strong understanding of functional design principles.
  • Exposure to product functional analysis will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
