Role Description

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented
Textile Designer / Interior Designer
to manage day-to-day operations of our boutique
home furnishing store
. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between clients and vendors, offering expert guidance on fabric selection, stitching techniques, and furnishing solutions tailored to individual project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Consultation:
  • Engage with clients to understand their aesthetic preferences, functional needs, and project scope.
  • Offer personalized design advice, including fabric selection, color schemes, patterns, and textures.
  • Product & Design Recommendations:
  • Propose suitable
    fabrics
    ,
    curtain styles
    ,
    upholstery options
    , and
    stitching techniques
    .
  • Create mood boards or samples to present design concepts.
  • Vendor Coordination:
  • Act as a liaison between clients and vendors to ensure timely sourcing, customization, and delivery of materials.
  • Communicate detailed project specs and quality standards to vendors and tailors.
  • Trend Research & Development:
  • Stay updated on current trends in textiles, interior design, and home décor.
  • Introduce new fabric lines, stitching styles, and furnishings to enhance the product portfolio.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree/Diploma in
    Textile Design
    ,
    Interior Design
    , or related field.
  • Prior experience in home furnishings, soft furnishings, or interior retail is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is a must.
  • Strong understanding of fabrics, trims, stitching techniques, and color coordination.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in design softwares is a plus.
