Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Junior Accountant to join our real estate team. In this role, you will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting financial reporting, and performing accounting tasks related to real estate transactions and property management. Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Record Keeping:
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of financial records for real estate properties, including rent rolls, operating expenses, and income statements.
  • Record and reconcile property-related transactions such as rental income, expenses, and vendor payments.
  • Ensure all accounting data related to real estate transactions is entered accurately into the financial system.
  • General Ledger Management:
  • Assist in maintaining the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and properly classified in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Help prepare and process journal entries, ensuring they align with real estate revenue, expenses, and asset management.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable:
  • Process accounts payable by reviewing and verifying invoices related to property management and real estate projects.
  • Assist with the accounts receivable process, ensuring that rents and other payments are collected on time and recorded accurately.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable and payable records and assist with follow-ups on overdue payments.
  • Bank Reconciliations:
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations for various property accounts and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Identify discrepancies and work with senior accountants to resolve any issues.
  • Financial Reporting Support:
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Help prepare reports related to property performance, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
  • Assist in the preparation of real estate budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses for property management teams.
  • Tax Compliance & Documentation:
  • Assist in maintaining proper documentation for tax purposes, including preparing reports and supporting documents for tax filings related to real estate activities.
  • Help ensure compliance with property-related tax regulations and local government requirements.
  • Property Management Support:
  • Work closely with the property management team to ensure accurate financial tracking of property costs, capital improvements, and other expenditures.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting for real estate operations and capital projects.
  • Audit Assistance:
  • Support external auditors during the annual audit process by providing necessary financial documents and information.
  • Assist with the implementation of audit recommendations and any internal control improvements.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate, property management, or a related industry.
  • Skills:
  • Tally Prime mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial statements.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or other property management systems).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of real estate transactions, property management accounting, and financial reporting is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15, ₹20,000.00 per month
