About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our team for a Data Warehouse (DWH) project. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and workflows to support the data warehouse's operations, ensuring data integration, and optimizing processes for efficient data management. This position requires expertise in data engineering, database technologies, and DWH methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

Data Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into the Data Warehouse.

Data Integration: Integrate data from multiple sources, ensuring data quality, consistency, and integrity throughout the process.

Data Modeling: Create and maintain data models to support business intelligence (BI) needs and reporting.

Performance Optimization: Ensure the efficiency and scalability of data pipelines, minimizing processing time and maximizing data quality.

Automation: Automate data workflows to ensure timely and accurate data availability for downstream analytics.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows, identify and resolve issues related to data processing and integration.

Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation for data models, data flows, and pipeline configurations to ensure smooth collaboration and knowledge transfer.

Qualifications and Skills

Experience: 2+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, with a focus on Data Warehouse development and ETL processes.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in SQL and database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).

Expertise in ETL tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Talend, Informatica).

Experience with cloud-based platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.

Familiarity with data modeling techniques (e.g., Star Schema, Snowflake Schema).

Experience with scripting languages like Python, Shell, or Java.

Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, etc.) is a plus.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to address complex data challenges.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
