Overview: The SAP ABAP/HANA Developer plays a crucial role in our organization by leveraging their expertise in SAP's ABAP programming language and HANA database to design, develop, and implement solutions that enhance business processes and improve operational efficiency. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications, ensuring that our SAP systems are tailored to meet organizational needs. The importance of this position cannot be overstated, as it directly impacts the integration and functionality of various business applications critical to our success. The SAP ABAP/HANA Developer will not only work on developing custom applications and reports but will also be responsible for performance tuning of existing code, ensuring our systems run optimally.   • Develop and implement custom ABAP programs.
  • Create and optimize HANA data models.
  • Analyze functional specifications and prepare design documents.
  • Collaborate with functional consultants to identify and resolve problems.
  • Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
  • Participate in system integration testing and user acceptance testing.
  • Design and develop reports, interfaces, forms, and enhancements.
  • Optimize existing ABAP code for performance and efficiency.
  • Maintain documentation for technical specifications and processes.
  • Support SAP upgrades and system migrations.
  • Implement best practices for SAP data management and security.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Assist in the training of junior team members.
  • Stay updated on SAP trends and technologies.
  • Provide technical support to end-users as needed.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development.
  • Experience with SAP HANA database design and development.
  • Strong understanding of SAP modules (SD, MM, FICO, etc.).
  • Proficiency in performance tuning of ABAP and HANA applications.
  • Experience with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior experience conducting code reviews and mentoring developers.
  • Knowledge of SAP Fiori and UI5 is a plus.
  • Experience with integration techniques (IDocs, BAPIs, ALE).
  • Certification in SAP ABAP or HANA is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies quickly.
