Job Description: Sales Coordinator in a Steel Trading Company

Position Overview: The Sales Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the sales team and ensuring the smooth execution of sales operations in a steel trading company. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. The Sales Coordinator works closely with the sales team, customers, suppliers, and various departments within the organization to ensure timely and accurate order processing, documentation, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Order Processing: Receive and process sales orders from customers, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Coordinate with the procurement and logistics teams to arrange timely delivery of orders. Maintain a record of all orders and update the sales database accordingly.

Documentation and Contracts: Prepare and review sales contracts, purchase orders, and other relevant documentation. Ensure compliance with legal and company requirements. Collaborate with the legal department to resolve any contract-related issues.

Customer Support: Act as a primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, providing product information, and assisting with order-related issues. Maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.

Sales Reporting: Generate regular sales reports, including sales performance, market trends, and customer analysis. Provide insights and recommendations based on the data to improve sales strategies and identify growth opportunities.

Inventory Management: Collaborate with the inventory team to monitor stock levels and coordinate with sales and procurement to meet customer demands. Ensure accuracy in inventory records and assist in managing stock replenishment.

Sales Support: Assist the sales team in preparing sales presentations, proposals, and quotations. Coordinate with other internal departments, such as finance and operations, to gather necessary information and ensure seamless execution of sales activities.

Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitors' activities. Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential customers, market segments, and business opportunities.

Sales Coordination: Collaborate with the sales team to ensure effective coordination and communication. Provide support during sales meetings, conferences, and trade shows. Coordinate sales-related activities, such as product launches or promotional campaigns.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a sales coordinator or in a similar role, preferably within the steel trading industry.
  • Strong knowledge of steel products, specifications, and industry practices.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling documentation and order processing.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant sales tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments.
  • Analytical mindset and the ability to derive insights from sales data.
  • Adaptability and resilience to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25, ₹35,000.00 per month
