Job Description: Transport & Housekeeping Manager

Position Overview:

The Transport & Housekeeping Manager will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the smooth functioning of all transport and housekeeping operations. The role requires excellent coordination, planning, and leadership skills to maintain efficiency, safety, and cleanliness across the institution.

Key Responsibilities:

Transport Management

  • Plan, manage, and monitor daily transport operations (buses, vans, drivers, routes).
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and transport policies.
  • Maintain proper documentation (permits, licenses, insurance, fuel logs, driver records).
  • Address transport-related issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Coordinate with parents/staff regarding transport requirements and concerns.
  • Oversee regular vehicle maintenance and breakdown management.

Housekeeping Management

  • Supervise daily housekeeping operations across campus/buildings.
  • Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation standards are consistently maintained.
  • Manage housekeeping staff schedules, training, and performance.
  • Monitor stock and usage of cleaning materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Implement and enforce safety, hygiene, and compliance protocols.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for housekeeping supplies.

General Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit regular reports on transport and housekeeping activities.
  • Ensure cost-effectiveness and proper utilization of resources.
  • Develop policies, SOPs, and checklists for continuous improvement.
  • Lead, motivate, and monitor teams for discipline and efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Graduate in any discipline; diploma/certification in logistics or facility management preferred.
  • Minimum 35 years of experience in transport/housekeeping management.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, compliance, and vendor management.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and basic reporting tools.
