Lead Cloud Engineer

Location: Pune

This role typical reports into Manager, Enterprise Cloud Infrastructure and is based in our Buckhead office in our hybrid work environment

Hybrid/Multi-Cloud Platform and Infrastructure Support 75%:

• Leads and advises team surrounding enterprise on-premises and cloud computing platforms
• Supports retail store and remote site footprint, both domestically and internationally
• Provisions and supports enterprise network attached storage (NAS) platforms, storage area network (SAN), and cloud storage infrastructures
• Supports enterprise server virtualization, enterprise operating system platforms, and related software products including VMware vSphere/VMWare Cloud (VMC), Windows, AIX, and Enterprise Linux
• Enforces Identity Access Management (IAM) and account provisioning in the public cloud including multi-factor integration
• Ensures cloud and enterprise logging is directed to the appropriate SIEM/Security targets
• Implements software-defined data centers solutions such as AWS Transit Gateway
• Implements cloud governance solutions (e.g., AWS Control Tower) and guard rails
• Leverage infrastructure cost optimization tools to reduce operating costs and minimize spend overruns
• Partners with IT systems administrators and enterprise architects to drive platform decisions, design, and standards
• Adheres to manufacturer and provider requirements, specifications, and best practices
• Implements high availability architectures, clustering, and data replication within landing zones, storage, and server layers
• Provides second and third level support for end user shares and file servers and other user-based support as required
• Ensures all system deployments adhere to SOX, PCI, and cyber-security standards
• Responsible for IT organizational leadership of monthly performance and capacity metrics
• Applies system firmware updates and patches
• Maintains enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions and technologies
• Provides third-level and advisory support for end user shares and file servers and other user-based support as required
• Represents his/her team in project planning and status meetings
• Leads cross-functional training within team(s) and with IT/business partners
• Coordinates triage exercises and produces root cause analysis (RCA) during and after service interruptions or unplanned maintenance
• Develops and implements lifecycle management of infrastructure platforms
• Captures/publishes KPIs and performance metrics for infrastructure capacity planning

Team Supervisory and Vendor Management Duties 20%:

• Supervises Global Insourcing Center (GIC) support/offshore contractors
• Participates in annual goal setting activities, cascading, and communication to team members
• Leads daily Scrum sessions and bi-weekly sprint planning
• Provides advanced support, technical advisement, and training to team members
• Assists leadership with workforce capacity planning; reviews on-call schedules and coverages
• Assists IT Project Managers and leadership with project resource assignments
• Keeps leadership informed of service interruptions, exceptions, team/system resource constraints, and other applicable matters of importance
• Manages core vendor relationships including Cloud Service Providers (CSPs)
• Assists with review of annual vendor maintenance and support contracts

Budgetary and Other Administrative Duties 5%:

• Assists leadership with the development of long-range strategic systems roadmaps and budgetary forecasts
• Recommends/Implements platform cost-optimization across systems landscape
• Performs other responsibilities and duties as assigned by his/her supervisor/manager

Must have:

• Experience architecting and administering enterprise data centers and/or cloud infrastructures (IaaS) in a 24x7x365 production environment
• Expertise in server and storage virtualization technologies (e.g., VMWare, IBM Power/Storage Virtualization)
• Technical expertise surrounding Business Continuity and enterprise Disaster Recovery

• Net increase of +3 years experience required over Senior Systems Engineer role
• 7+ years of experience in an IT Systems Administration, IT Systems Engineering, or IT Operations role
• College degree or equivalent work experience
