About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Backend Developer to join our dynamic product engineering team at a leading digital media organization.

The ideal candidate is passionate about writing clean, efficient code and enjoys solving complex problems in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain high-performance backend systems.
  • Write clean, modular, and maintainable code following best practices.
  • Design and build RESTful APIs, data models, and microservices for large-scale distributed applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend, DevOps, and QA to deliver high-quality releases.
  • Troubleshoot and debug production issues effectively.
  • Mentor junior developers and participate in peer code reviews.
  • Ensure timely and frequent delivery of features aligned with business priorities.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong programming skills in Python and Django.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (MySQL, MongoDB, Postgres).
  • Proficiency in HTML5, REST APIs, Celery, Redis, and Microservices architecture.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms – GCP or AWS.
  • Familiarity with XML, XPath, and distributed systems.
  • Experience working in Agile product development environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
  • Eagerness to learn and adopt new technologies quickly.

Good to Have

  • Working knowledge of Java, ReactJS, or NextJS.
  • Experience with performance optimization and scalable architectures.
