Role: Chief of Staff to the CEO (Family Business Group)

Location: Mumbai

Role Overview

We are seeking a senior, highly trusted Chief of Staff to the CEO to support a diversified, family-owned business group. This role partners closely with the CEO to translate intent into execution, strengthen operating discipline, and build group-wide processes and performance governance while respecting the entrepreneurial and relationship-driven nature of a family business.

The role combines strategic support, execution leadership, and cross-business coordination, with access to confidential information and direct influence across group companies.

Key Responsibilities

  1. CEO Enablement & Thought Partnership Act as a thought partner to the CEO on strategy, priorities, and execution.

  2. Group Process Architecture & Scale Enablement.

  3. Process Implementation & Adoption (Core Mandate).

  4. Performance Monitoring & Governance.

  5. Business Coordination & Review Cadence Act as the central coordination point between business heads and functional leaders.

  6. Key Hiring & Leadership Support.

  7. Financial & Operational Oversight

Required Skills & Competencies -

Functional & Technical

Strong capability in process design and SOP development

Experience with performance monitoring and governance frameworks

MIS and dashboard design expertise

Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills

Working knowledge of ERP and workflow tools

Solid understanding of P&L, KPIs, and business drivers Behavioural

High ownership and strong execution discipline

Structured, analytical thinker with practical judgment

Ability to work with and influence senior leaders respectfully

Excellent stakeholder management across professional and family contexts

High discretion, maturity, and trustworthiness

Experience & Education

years of total experience.

Experience in family-owned or promoter-led business groups preferred.
