Technical Lead

Cotiviti Hyderabad is looking for Technical Architect / Technical Lead for one of its product stream Java/SQL Server/Hadoop based application suite to Spring Boot, Appian based modern application suite. This will include high percentage of unit test coverage both on backend and frontend.

• Lead end-to-end solution architecture for enterprise platforms and data processing pipelines, leveraging technologies such as Appian, Java/Spring Boot, Python, and PySpark.
• Design scalable, secure, and maintainable microservices-based architectures integrating REST APIs, Kafka streams, and data pipelines for real-time and batch processing.
• Architect data engineering workflows on Cloudera Hadoop ecosystem, including tools such as Hive, Hue, Impala, HBase, and Elasticsearch for big data storage, processing, and retrieval.
• Provide architectural guidance on SQL Server database design, indexing strategies, stored procedures, and data modelling for transactional and analytical workloads.
• Define and optimize streaming architectures using Apache Kafka, ensuring event-driven and loosely coupled integration between systems.
• Oversee the implementation of automation and orchestration scripts using PowerShell for system and infrastructure-level tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, Developers, QA, DevOps, and Infrastructure Engineers to align technical vision and execution.
• Translate complex business requirements into scalable and reliable technical solutions, aligned with best practices in security, performance, and cloud-readiness.
• Participate in and drive architecture review boards, perform design reviews, and ensure compliance with architectural standards and governance.
• Lead solution planning activities during Program Increment (PI) Planning and provide hands-on support throughout Agile sprint cycles.
• Ensure documentation of architecture, design patterns, data flow diagrams, integration points, and infrastructure requirements.
• Mentor development teams on implementation strategies, coding standards, and performance optimization.

[Optional] Contribute to cloud adoption strategies, evaluating and designing cloud-native and hybrid solutions on AWS or OCI based on business needs

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, Communication, or related engineering field.
• Minimum 10 years of industry experience, with at least 3+ years in an architect or lead role, designing and delivering large-scale enterprise applications or data solutions.
• Proven experience architecting backend systems using Java and Spring Boot
• Strong development background in Python, with hands-on experience in PySpark for distributed data processing.
• In-depth experience designing solutions within Hadoop ecosystems, especially Cloudera, using Hive, Hue, Impala, HBase, and Elasticsearch.
• Strong expertise in MS SQL Server, including performance tuning, indexing, stored procedure design, and advanced SQL development.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement Kafka-based streaming architectures in complex enterprise environments.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting for system automation and DevOps workflows.
• Working knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum/SAFe), with involvement in Agile ceremonies and story point estimations.
• Familiarity with version control systems, Agile boards, and collaboration tools like Bitbucket and Jira.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to influence technical decisions and drive architectural alignment.
• [Optional] Experience architecting or migrating enterprise workloads to AWS or OCI, with understanding of cloud-native design principles.
