Department: Data Management / Information Governance

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Governance & Metadata Management Analyst to support and enhance our enterprise data management initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metadata management, data governance frameworks, and data-driven decision-making, ideally within the financial services sector. This role will involve collaborating with both business and technology stakeholders to improve data understanding, accessibility, and quality across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and management of metadata management processes and tools (specifically Informatica EDC / CDGC).
  • Develop and maintain data governance documentation, including frameworks, policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with business and technology teams to ensure consistent application of data governance principles.
  • Collect, design, and present management information (MI) and data insights to senior leadership.
  • Assist in defining and managing data lineage, ownership, and stewardship processes.
  • Contribute to the delivery of strategic data programs, aligning business requirements with existing capabilities.
  • Analyze and interpret data using SQL and other analytical tools to identify data quality or metadata issues.
  • Work with stakeholders across the organization to promote data awareness, literacy, and accountability.
  • Ensure compliance with internal data policies and external regulatory requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in Information Management, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of overall industry experience, including at least 3 years in data-related programs within financial services or a similar environment.

  • Strong understanding of Data Governance and Metadata Management frameworks, policies, and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Informatica EDC / CDGC is mandatory.
  • Solid operational knowledge of metadata management processes.
  • Strong SQL and analytical skills with the ability to extract, analyze, and interpret complex data sets.
  • Proven experience synthesizing business requirements and delivering strategic data initiatives.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for engaging with senior leadership.
