About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned
Senior Business Analyst
with deep expertise in the
payments domain
, including acquiring,
card schemes, gateways, and fraud flows.
The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical capabilities, hands-on experience with modern API frameworks, and a proven track record of working in agile software development environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead
    requirements engineering
    and
    problem definition
    across complex payment systems.
  • Translate large technical specifications into actionable insights for engineering teams.
  • Design and implement
    Business Analysis artefacts
    including process models, feature specifications, and stakeholder documentation.
  • Collaborate with solution designers and delivery teams to ensure alignment on business goals and technical feasibility.
  • Drive
    planning, estimation, and progress tracking
    for self and team deliverables.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and facilitate cross-functional communication.
  • Own resolution of complex delivery issues and ensure quality of deliverables.
  • Support agile ceremonies and ensure continuous improvement in delivery practices.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong domain knowledge in
    payments
    , including:
  • Acquiring, card scheme/card issuer, gateway systems
  • Authorization, settlement, 3DS, fraud detection, and Account Funding flows
  • Expertise in
    RESTful APIs
    ,
    Swagger/OpenAPI
    , and modern API documentation practices.
  • Ability to distil complex technical documents into clear business requirements.
  • Experience in
    business process modeling
    and
    feature specification
    .
  • Proven success working with
    agile software development teams
    .
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Experience in global consulting environments or large-scale financial services projects.
  • Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, and BPMN modeling tools.
