Job Description:
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITY
- Create and maintain spatial and non-spatial databases
- Performing data munging and cleaning to convert data into its desired form.
- Prepare maps
- Creating "shapefiles" to merge topographical data with external data by layering external data over a topographical map.
- Designing digital maps with geographic data and other data sources.
- Converting physical maps into a digital form for computer usage.
- Producing maps showing the spatial distribution of various kinds of data, including store locations, POIs, transport network, sales data etc.
- Analyzing Maps
- Produce reports on geographic data utilizing data visualizations.
- Discovering patterns and trends through spatial mapping of data.
SKILL SET
- Experience with mapping tools such as ARCGIS, Mapinfo, QGIS.
- High degree of proficiency with Excel, Access and other database tools.
- Added advantage proficiency with database programming languages such as SQL, R or Python.
- Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.
- Analytical mindset.
Reporting Into: Head - Marketing Planning
EDUCATION
- Bachelors in any stream (degrees pertaining to geography, planning, surveying shall be preferred)
- Diploma in GIS/ Spatial analytics
