The 
Assistant Trainer - Hospitality (Commercial Cookery)
is responsible for developing course materials, providing training and assessment, and other related activities in the VET Sector in Australia. This role requires skills and knowledge in relation to

Commercial Cookery etc. We are seeking individuals who have a background in Hospitality and are willing

to learn and adapt.

Key Responsibilities:

Course Development

  • Development of Learner guides (textbook-like guide for students)
  • Development of PowerPoint Presentations
  • Development of Assessment Tools (the exam-paper-like materials by which students are assessed)
  • Development of self-study guides (additional readings for students)

Training

  • Deliver training (classes) to VET students
  • Assess students based on their performance in their assessment (examination).

Documentation and Record Keeping

  • Keep track of tasks and responsibilities completed. Including documents, classes and other relevant tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate/Diploma/PHD/master's in hospitality
  • Experience in Kitchen or Chef
  • Excellent verbal/ written communication skills in English. Strong hold on fundamental basics of the subject
  • Assessments/projects for Hospitality courses for commercial cookery
