Our vending business delivers quality beverages to workplaces and institutions across the country through innovative IoT-enabled dispensers.
Role Overview:
The Field Operations Manager will be responsible for driving operational excellence, service delivery, and customer satisfaction across the vending business in the assigned region. This role involves managing field executives, ensuring uptime of vending machines, optimizing logistics, and maintaining strong relationships with clients to enhance retention and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operations & Service Management
- Ensure smooth functioning and high uptime of vending machines across assigned locations.
- Oversee daily operations of field service teams for timely maintenance, replenishment, and issue resolution.
- Monitor adherence to SOPs related to hygiene, product quality, and machine performance.
- Conduct regular site audits and implement preventive maintenance measures.
2. Team Leadership & Performance
- Lead, train, and motivate a team of field executives.
- Allocate territories, plan routes, and track daily performance metrics.
- Drive productivity, service quality, and customer-first mindset across the team.
3. Client Relationship Management
- Act as the key point of contact for client escalations and service feedback.
- Ensure SLA compliance and proactive client communication.
- Work closely with the sales and account management teams to support retention and upselling.
4. Inventory & Cost Management
- Track and control inventory of raw materials and consumables.
- Optimize logistics and manpower cost through effective planning.
- Monitor and report on operational budgets and service costs.
5. Reporting & Analytics
- Review service performance data and machine analytics to identify improvement areas.
- Share regular MIS reports on uptime, service metrics, and field performance with the regional team.
- Implement data-driven solutions to enhance efficiency.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Strong client relationship and communication skills.
- Hands-on operational approach with attention to detail.
- Comfort with data analysis, reporting, and use of digital tools/CRM systems.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate preferably in Operations or Business Management.
- 3 to 8 years of experience in field operations, vending solutions, or FMCG/retail operations.
- Prior experience managing field teams and service operations is essential.
- Exposure to IoT-enabled machines or automation-based services will be an added advantage.
