Key Responsibilities

●
Lead the end-to-end design and development
of premium baby fashion collections — including apparel, footwear, and accessories — from trend research and concept creation to final sampling and production.

● Conduct
seasonal market research, trend analysis, and consumer insight studies
to identify key opportunities and translate them into fresh, commercially viable designs aligned with Minimie's aesthetic.

●
Develop mood boards, storylines, and seasonal colour palettes
that reflect the brand's philosophy of
modern, warm, and minimal
design for little ones.

● Create detailed
technical drawings, CADs, and tech packs
with specifications, measurements, and construction details for production teams and vendors.

● Collaborate closely with
fabric and trim sourcing teams
to select premium materials that balance comfort, quality, and design intent.

● Work with
sampling and production teams
to ensure timely execution and maintain the highest standards of fit, finish, and quality.

● Lead
fit sessions and design reviews
, providing clear, actionable feedback to ensure consistency with the brand's design language and standards.

● Prepare and present
seasonal design decks and product boards
to leadership and cross-functional teams.

● Maintain well-organised
design documentation, reference libraries, and digital archives
for future collections.

● Contribute to
process innovation and sustainability initiatives
, bringing fresh ideas, techniques, and modern tools to enhance design output.

Requirements

● Bachelor's degree in
Fashion Design
or related field.

●
2-5 years
of relevant experience in apparel design (experience in babywear, kidswear, or premium lifestyle brands a plus, not mandatory).

● Understanding of
babywear silhouettes, comfort-driven design, and safe materials
.

● Proficiency in
Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop
, and other CAD tools.

● Solid grasp of
fabric behavior, trims, surface techniques, and garment construction
.

● Excellent sense of colour, proportion, and detail, with the ability to translate global trends for the Indian market.

● Strong communication, teamwork, and project management skills.

● Ability to manage
multiple design projects
in a fast-paced, growing brand environment.

Nice to Have

● Experience with
3D design tools
like CLO or Browzwear.

● Exposure to
sustainable and organic fabric sourcing
.

● Prior experience in a
premium, design-led, or D2C fashion brand
.
