  • Minimum 10-14 years of hands-on experience in Java development with strong expertise in API design and microservices architecture. Proven ability to lead backend teams and deliver enterprise-scale solutions. Prior experience in financial or enterprise domains is highly desirable.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of scalable, secure, and high-performance Java-based APIs and microservices.
  • Collaborate with architects and business stakeholders to define technical solutions aligned with business needs.
  • Guide and mentor backend developers, conduct code reviews, and enforce best practices across the team.
  • Own the entire API lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Integrate services with databases, third-party APIs, and internal systems using RESTful standards.
  • Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery strategies for deployed services.
  • Work closely with DevOps and QA teams to support CI/CD, containerization, and test automation.
  • Drive technical innovation and continuously improve system performance, reliability, and maintainability.

Tool & Technology Expertise:

  • Strong hands-on experience in Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Spring Security.
  • Proficiency in building RESTful APIs using JSON/XML with Swagger/OpenAPI documentation.
  • Expertise in API security protocols including OAuth2, JWT, and integration with API gateways.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis.
  • Skilled in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Maven/Gradle, and deployment automation.
  • Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk.
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, including user stories, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior experience in payments, banking, or financial services domains.
  • Exposure to event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and API governance best practices.
  • Knowledge of GraphQL, gRPC, or asynchronous messaging is a plus.
  • Java or Cloud certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified, AWS Developer Associate) are an added advantage.
