Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented vRA Administrator to manage, configure, and optimize our VMware vRealize Automation (vRA) environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in VMware technologies, cloud automation, and infrastructure as code (IaC) principles to support and improve IT workflows and services
.

Key Responsibilities (Requirements):

Administration and Maintenance:

  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot the VMware vRealize Automation platform and related components, including vRealize Orchestrator (vRO), vSphere, and NSX.
  • Monitor and optimize the vRA infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability.
  • Should be able to manage the vRA based issues end to end and document every detail for smooth operations.

Automation and Workflow Development:

  • Design, implement, and maintain automated workflows and blueprints using vRA and vRO.
  • Create and manage service catalog items, approval policies, and governance rules.

Integration and Customization:

  • Integrate vRA with third-party systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Ansible, Puppet, Terraform).
  • Develop custom scripts (e.g., PowerShell, Python) to enhance automation and integration capabilities.

Support and Troubleshooting:

  • Provide technical support for issues related to vRA, vRO, and associated VMware products.
  • Collaborate with other teams to resolve incidents and implement changes.

Documentation and Training:

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture designs, operational procedures, and workflows.
  • Provide training and knowledge sharing to team members and end-users.

Desired Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience with VMware vRealize Automation (vRA) and vRealize Orchestrator (vRO).
  • Strong expertise in VMware vSphere, NSX, and other virtualization technologies.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud management.
  • Experience with IT automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet.
  • Solid understanding of networking, storage, and server infrastructure concepts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or other relevant certifications.
  • Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms.
  • Knowledge of DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with REST APIs for integration and automation.
