Job Description:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Assistant Manager – Nursery to oversee and manage day-to-day nursery operations. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 7 years of experience in nursery management, with in-depth knowledge of plant care, propagation techniques, pest and disease management, and nursery infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily nursery operations, including plant production, propagation, and maintenance.
  • Manage nursery layout, infrastructure, and workforce to ensure efficient operations.
  • Ensure proper care of plants including watering, pruning, fertilizing, and disease control.
  • Maintain optimal environmental conditions for plant growth (light, temperature, humidity, etc.).
  • Monitor inventory of plants, tools, and nursery supplies, and coordinate procurement as needed.
  • Develop and implement horticultural best practices and schedules.
  • Supervise and train nursery staff, assign tasks, and evaluate performance.
  • Maintain records of plant health, treatments, and stock movement.
  • Coordinate with landscaping or project teams to supply plants as per project requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations in nursery operations.
  • Interact with vendors, clients, and visitors as necessary.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in managing a professional nursery setup.
  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or Horticulture is mandatory.
  • In-depth knowledge of plant species, propagation methods (seeds, cuttings, grafting), and pest/disease management.
  • Experience with nursery automation systems (if any) will be a plus.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and generate reports.
  • Proficiency in Hindi is compulsory. Knowledge of regional languages is an added advantage.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹25, ₹30,000.00 per month
