Role & responsibilities

Process Development & Optimization

• Develop and validate machining processes for aluminum cast engine and transmission parts.
• Prepare process flow, PFMEA, control plan, and standard operating procedures.
• Define machining sequences for milling, drilling, boring, honing, grinding, and CNC operations.

Tooling & Fixture Management

• Design and implement jigs, fixtures, and cutting tools for precision machining.
• Optimize tool life, cycle time, and machining parameters.
• Coordinate with tool suppliers for development and trials.

Production & Quality Control

• Ensure machining processes meet dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and GD&T requirements.
• Conduct root cause analysis for process rejections and drive corrective actions.
• Support CMM and precision metrology validation.

Productivity & Cost Improvement

• Reduce cycle time, tool cost, and machining cost per part.
• Drive lean manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement projects.
• Monitor and improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).

New Product Development (NPD)

• Participate in RFQ stage and provide machining feasibility.
• Support prototype machining and establish processes for mass production.
• Collaborate with design and foundry teams to ensure manufacturability of castings.

Audit & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and customer quality requirements.
• Support customer and internal audits (process, product, and system audits).
