Data Analyst

Equifax is looking for a Data Analyst to join our team in India supporting the Canada business unit. As a Data Analyst at Equifax, you will work with stakeholders to use data and analytics to provide key insights and drive business decisions.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and a passion for uncovering solutions, business insights hidden within vast datasets, and have the ability to communicate findings clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.

*Key Responsibilities Include*

• Work in our cloud environment, leverage statistical techniques, visualization tools, and segmentation/modeling techniques to develop, optimize and maintain scalable reports and analytical solutions, insights .
• Collaborate with internal partners and clients to support development of proprietary analytical products and effectively communicate analytical results, findings to key stakeholders in a timely manner using strong data visualizations, superior presentation skills and business language to emphasize the "so what" of the analysis.
• Ensure thorough quality control of all analytical output, verifying the accuracy and integrity of the data and analysis, and confirming that the resulting insights are logical, intuitive, and consistent with observed trends
• Spearhead data issue investigations, identify root causes, implement effective fix or workarounds and communicate them to the team to ensure timely project delivery
• Project management including defining business and technical requirements, resource planning and analytical solution design.

What Experience You Will Need

• 3+ years' analytics / data science experience with expert knowledge of Python, SQL or R in a large data environment
• 2+ years' proven hands-on experience designing, building and implementing analytical solutions to solve real world problems, with limited direct supervision required.
• Demonstrable experience in delivering business insights with tangible tactical and strategic recommended actions
• Solid communication / presentation skills and the ability to multitask
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in a quantitative discipline such as Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or Physics is essential

*What could set you apart*

• A background in financial services, telecommunications or utilities.
• Experience working with credit or fraud data.
• Experience with development and deployment of analytical solutions in a cloud based environment such as AWS or GCP is preferred.
• Master's level degree in a business-related field/MBA.
