As a Senior Platform Engineer at eBay, you will be a vital part of the Frameworks team, focusing on developing the JavaScript frameworks that drive eBay's user-facing web interfaces. Your role will involve working on the Developer Platform and MUSE, a React-based framework for internal tools. Your primary responsibility will be to support and empower fellow eBay developers, contributing significantly to their success. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Platform Development:** Build and implement features for the and MUSE frameworks. - **Developer Support:** Offer direct assistance to developers by debugging issues and addressing requests on Slack channels. - **Maintenance & Operations:** Oversee monthly releases, runtime upgrades, and software updates. - **Tooling & Automation:** Improve software upgrade tools and support continuous integration and deployment pipelines using NPM, Docker, and Jenkins. - **System Integration:** Integrate frameworks with essential eBay systems such as single sign-on (SSO), cloud services, logging, metrics, and security. - **Performance & Security:** Conduct performance tests and ensure platform security through regular open-source security upgrades. - **Web Technologies:** Utilize various modern web technologies like Webpack, Vite, and React. **Qualifications Required:** - 3-5 years of software engineering experience. - Proficiency in JavaScript, Typescript, , and React. - Familiarity with web technologies like Webpack, Vite. - Experience with Kubernetes and Docker. - Knowledge of developer tooling and workflows. - Experience in developing REST and GraphQL APIs. - Strong collaboration skills and effective communication abilities.
