Role Overview:

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Mobile Developer who will own the full life cycle of our mobile applications (iOS and Android) used as part of the Unifyia ecosystem. This individual will collaborate closely with product management, backend/SDK teams and DevOps to deliver, support, and evolve mobile apps that integrate with our identity and credential management platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain and enhance native mobile applications for iOS (Swift) and Android (please specify preferred Android tech: Kotlin/Java)
• Work with cross‑platform or native design decisions: coordinate with product & UX to choose best path
• Publish apps to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store (app submission, versioning, release management)
• Integrate the mobile apps with backend APIs and our platform services (REST, OAuth/OIDC, JSON payloads)
• Support existing in‑house mobile apps: bug fixing, performance tuning, updates to comply with OS changes
• Collaborate with backend/SDK engineering, QA and DevOps to ensure integration, automated builds/deployments, CI/CD, monitoring
• Ensure the mobile apps meet security best practices (secure storage, encryption, credentials handling), in alignment with our identity/security domain
• Mentor junior mobile developers and advocate for mobile best practices (code reviews, architecture decisions, clean code)
• Maintain documentation for mobile architecture, workflows, release process

Must‑Have Skills & Experience:

• Proven senior experience (4+ years) in mobile application development for iOS using Swift
• Proven senior experience in Android app development (please specify if you prefer Kotlin; we expect strong Android competency)
• Experience releasing apps to Apple App Store and Google Play Store
• Strong API integration skills: working with RESTful services, OAuth/OIDC, JSON, handling authentication/authorization flows
• Strong knowledge of mobile architecture, UI/UX best practices, performance, memory, battery optimisation
• Experience with version control (Git), build tools, CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps
• Prior experience working in a security‑, identity‑ or authentication‑centric domain is a plus

Nice‑to‑Have Skills:

• Experience or awareness of identity & access management, credential lifecycles, authentication (e.g., FIDO2, PKI)
• Experience in hybrid or cross‑platform frameworks (React Native / Flutter) — though native preferred
• Knowledge of mobile device security, secure enclave/keychain, biometrics implementation
• Experience with analytics, monitoring, crash reporting (e.g., Firebase Crashlytics, Sentry)
• Experience mentoring or leading small mobile teams
