About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Mobile Architect to define and lead the architectural vision for our mobile ecosystem. This role requires deep expertise across Android, iOS, and React Native, with a proven ability to design scalable, secure, and high-performance mobile applications.

The Senior Mobile Architect will drive technology strategy, ensure alignment with product and business objectives, and provide technical leadership across mobile teams. This position combines hands-on architecture work with strategic planning and guidance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and own the mobile architecture roadmap, ensuring scalability, performance, and security across platforms.
  • Architect and design advanced mobile solutions using React Native, integrated with native Android (Kotlin/Java) and iOS (Swift/Objective-C) components.
  • Establish technical standards, design patterns, and best practices for mobile development.
  • Collaborate with backend, product, UX, and DevOps teams to ensure end-to-end architectural consistency and seamless integration.
  • Lead code and architecture reviews, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to architectural guidelines.
  • Evaluate and introduce modern frameworks, tools, and practices (e.g., Flutter, Kotlin Multiplatform) to improve efficiency and innovation.
  • Drive decisions on mobile infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies, and app lifecycle management.
  • Mentor and guide engineering teams to elevate technical capabilities and architectural thinking.

Good to Have

  • Hands-on experience in native Android (Kotlin/Java) and iOS (Swift/Objective-C) development.
  • Familiarity with additional cross-platform frameworks such as Flutter or Kotlin Multiplatform.
  • Portfolio Requirement: Candidates should be able to name and reference mobile applications currently available on the App Store and/or Google Play that they have architected or contributed to.

Required Qualifications

  • 15 years of professional experience in mobile application development.
  • Proven experience as a Mobile Architect or Principal Engineer on large-scale mobile projects.
  • Expert proficiency in React Native, with deep understanding of performance optimization, native module integration, and advanced debugging.
  • Thorough understanding of mobile architecture patterns (MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture) and software design principles (SOLID, DRY, modular design).
  • Proficiency in API design and integration, mobile security standards (OAuth2, JWT, encryption), and CI/CD pipelines (Fastlane, Bitrise, GitHub Actions).
  • Experience defining and implementing mobile technology strategies and architecture governance.
  • Strong understanding of scalability, performance tuning, and maintainability in mobile system design.
