Job Title: IT Executive(Male)

Reports To: Head – IT & Systems

Work Location: The Creek Planet School - Mercury campus at Bowrampet.

Responsibilities and Duties

As part of the Executive Level Team, the IT Executive will:

  1. Installation & Maintenance of IT Equipment

o Install, configure, and maintain school IT systems including computers, laptops, printers, projectors, smart boards, and other devices.

o Ensure classroom technology such as AV systems, smart boards, and projectors function efficiently.

o Conduct regular preventive maintenance of IT equipment to minimize downtime.

  1. Network & Connectivity Management

o Monitor and maintain wired and wireless networks across the school campus.

o Ensure proper internet connectivity and troubleshoot issues promptly.

o Assist in maintaining secure access to school networks and systems.

  1. User Support & Troubleshooting

o Provide first-line technical support for hardware and software issues faced by staff and students.

o Resolve technical problems related to classroom teaching equipment and administrative systems.

o Document issues and resolutions to build an internal IT knowledge base.

o Troubleshoot and induct regarding FIS-CRM portal.

  1. IT Operations & Coordination

o Support academic and administrative events with necessary IT setups (presentations, AV equipment, video conferencing).

o Coordinate with external vendors for major repairs, installations, or software support.

o Assist in implementation of IT policies, data security protocols, and upgrades as per school requirements.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5-6 years of proven experience in IT support or system administration (experience in the education sector preferred).
  • Strong technical knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, networking, and classroom technologies.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Practical experience in troubleshooting IT hardware and software issues.
  • Good knowledge of LAN/Wi-Fi networking and internet systems.
  • Ability to set up, maintain, and troubleshoot classroom AV and smart technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and capacity to handle pressure during urgent IT issues.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively support staff and students.
  • Ability to manage time and tasks efficiently, prioritizing urgent needs.
  • Flexibility to work beyond regular hours during school events or emergencies.
