Job Responsibilities:

Job Title: Site Supervisor (Roadwork and Construction)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Site Supervisor with expertise in roadwork construction. The ideal candidate will have experience managing laborers, carpenters, and fitters, and possess a strong understanding of road construction techniques, including GSB, WMM, and other layers. Proficiency in using an auto level, as well as knowledge of kerbstone, paver blocks, shuttering, staging, and concreting is essential.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Site Management:

2. Oversee daily operations on the construction site, ensuring all work is performed according to project plans and specifications.

3. Manage and supervise laborers, carpenters, fitters, and other construction personnel to ensure efficient work execution.

4. Labor and Workforce Coordination:

5. Allocate tasks to workers and ensure they are completed efficiently and safely.

6. Address any workforce-related issues and ensure proper communication and coordination among team members.

7. Roadwork Construction:

8. Supervise the construction of roadwork elements, including subgrade, GSB, WMM, DBM, BC, and PQC.

9. Ensure the proper implementation of construction techniques and adherence to quality standards.

10. Kerbstone and Paver Block Installation:

11. Oversee the installation of kerbstones and paver blocks, ensuring proper alignment and quality of work.

12. Manage related tasks, including excavation, base preparation, and joint filling.

13. Shuttering and Staging:

14. Supervise the erection and maintenance of shuttering and staging for concrete works.

15. Ensure that formwork is correctly aligned and securely placed to support concrete pours.

16. Concreting Operations:

17. Oversee all aspects of concreting, including mixing, pouring, and curing.

18. Ensure that concrete work meets specified standards and address any issues related to the process.

19. Technical Proficiency:

20. Use an auto level and other surveying instruments to ensure accurate measurements and alignments.

21. Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.

22. Quality Control:

23. Conduct regular inspections to verify that work is being completed to the required standards and specifications.

24. Identify and address any defects or issues in construction work promptly.

25. Health and Safety Compliance:

26. Enforce safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

27. Conduct safety briefings and ensure that all workers follow proper safety procedures.

28. Documentation and Reporting:

29. Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including labor hours, material usage, and progress reports.

30. Prepare and submit reports on site activities and project progress to management.

31. Coordination with Stakeholders:

32. Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.

33. Address any queries or concerns from stakeholders regarding site operations.

34. Problem-Solving:

35. Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during construction.

36. Implement solutions to maintain project timelines and quality.
