Job Title: Change and Release Manager

Job Summary

The Change and Release Manager is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of IT changes and releases, ensuring minimal disruption to services while maintaining compliance, performance, and security standards. This role ensures that changes are assessed, approved, scheduled, and implemented effectively, and that releases are coordinated across multiple teams and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Change Management:

  • Own and manage the Change Management process.
  • Lead the analysis, documentation, and implementation of changes.
  • Evaluate risks associated with proposed changes (e.g., impact on availability, performance, security).
  • Ensure changes are properly authorized and communicated.
  • Review and audit change implementations for effectiveness and compliance.

Release Management:

  • Plan and coordinate release schedules across multiple applications and teams.
  • Lead Go-Live activities including deployment execution and readiness reviews.
  • Develop and maintain release plans, Dashboards and email communications.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, operations, and business stakeholders.
  • Manage release-related risks and resolve conflicts.
  • Maintain a release repository and documentation of procedures and dependencies.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of ITIL framework and service lifecycle.
  • Experience with change and release management tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and risk assessment capabilities.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Certifications:

  • ITIL Foundation or higher
  • Advanced Cloud or AI certification
