Position Title: Factory Operations Head – Fine Jewellery (Domestic Market)

Primary Objective: Lead End-to-End Production for Premium Jewellery Brand
Location: Andheri / Kandivali, Mumbai
Industry: Real Jewellery Manufacturing (Gold, Diamond, Platinum)
Reporting To: Managing Director

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Factory Operations Head to lead our premium fine jewellery manufacturing unit. This is a senior leadership role overseeing all facets of the production lifecycle—from raw gold intake to final dispatch. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned manufacturing professional with deep expertise in traditional jewellery-making techniques, an appreciation for quality craftsmanship, and proven leadership in managing karigars and production workflows.

Only candidates with real jewellery manufacturing experience (not imitation or fashion jewellery) will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Head end-to-end factory operations including casting, stone setting, polishing, quality control, and on-time delivery
  • Collaborate with design, merchandising, and sales teams to convert creative designs into high-quality finished pieces
  • Enforce rigorous inventory control of precious metals and stones; ensure full compliance with BIS and hallmarking standards
  • Lead and train karigars, production supervisors, and artisans to meet productivity and quality benchmarks
  • Oversee critical production processes such as CAD/CAM, wax setting, CNC, and laser engraving
  • Integrate lean manufacturing principles and continuous process improvements across all departments
  • Ensure timely machine maintenance and manage technical infrastructure including rhodium tanks, furnaces, and casting systems
  • Deliver timely MIS reports to leadership and establish measurable KPIs for each production stage
  • Uphold security standards in handling high-value materials and maintain statutory compliance across the board

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Graduate or Diploma in Jewellery Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Production
  • Minimum 10–15 years in managing factory operations in real jewellery manufacturing for the domestic market
  • Strong technical command of 18K/22K gold jewellery, stone-studded designs, fusion techniques, and high-precision finishing
  • Hands-on experience working with karigars and managing end-to-end shop floor dynamics
  • Solid knowledge of ERP systems and Excel-based inventory tracking tools
  • Proven record in safeguarding material movement, ensuring output quality, and delivering production timelines
  • High degree of discipline, integrity, and operational ownership
