Job Description:

A Sr. Electrical Engineer designs, develops, tests, and maintains electrical systems and components while also managing projects and mentoring junior engineers. Key responsibilities include creating electrical schematics, ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards, troubleshooting complex electrical issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in engineering software, leadership abilities, and excellent communication for technical reporting and team coordination. 

Responsibilities

  • Design & Development:
    Create and review detailed electrical schematics, plans, and specifications for new and upgraded electrical systems. 


  • Testing & Quality Assurance:
    Develop and execute testing methodologies and perform quality assurance and diagnostics on electrical components and systems. 


  • Troubleshooting:
    Analyze existing electrical systems and equipment, identify issues, and provide effective solutions. 


  • Project Management:
    Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring timely completion to specifications. 


  • Mentorship:
    Provide guidance and technical support to junior engineers and new staff, facilitating knowledge sharing and skill development. 


  • Compliance:
    Ensure all designs and systems comply with relevant safety regulations, codes, and industry standards. 


  • Collaboration:
    Work with cross-functional teams, vendors, suppliers, and other professionals to integrate designs and resolve project challenges. 


  • Research:
    Stay updated on the latest engineering developments by conducting research, attending conferences, and engaging in continuous learning. 



Skills & Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is typically required. 
     
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in electrical engineering software and tools. 
     
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities. 
     
  • Leadership: Outstanding leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to guide teams. 
     
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in designs and reports. 
     
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication for reporting findings and collaborating with stakeholders.
