Position Summary

The Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level business intelligence solutions that empower data-driven decision-making across the organization. This position requires strong technical expertise in SQL Server, Power BI, Python, and R, as well as proven experience with ETL, data modeling, and data storytelling.

The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing internal and external organization's analytics capabilities, integrating modern data technologies, and supporting strategic initiatives. Experience with Microsoft Fabric, is highly preferred. Familiarity with machine learning and AI-driven analytics is considered a strong plus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models to support enterprise analytics.
  • Write, optimize, and maintain SQL Server objects including stored procedures, views, and functions.
  • Develop and manage SQL Server Agent Jobs for scheduled data refreshes and automated processes.
  • Design and support ETL workflows for data ingestion, transformation, and integration from multiple sources.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define reporting requirements and translate them into scalable BI solutions.
  • Utilize Python and R for data transformation, statistical modeling, and advanced analytics.
  • Create clear, compelling data visualizations and narratives that communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Apply data governance, quality control, and performance tuning best practices across all BI assets.
  • Contribute to the organization's modernization efforts through technologies such as Microsoft Fabric, Palantir Foundry, Vantiq, and AI-based analytics.
  • Stay current with emerging BI technologies, tools, and methodologies to continuously enhance reporting and analytics capabilities.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or database development roles.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server, including writing complex stored procedures, views, and queries, developing and maintaining SQL Server Agent Jobs, and designing and optimizing ETL processes.
  • Proven expertise with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling.
  • Working knowledge of Python and/or R for analytics, data manipulation, and automation.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling principles, relational databases, and query optimization.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret data and tell a story through analytics and visualization.
  • Excellent analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with the capability to work effectively across teams.
  • Ability to create data dictionaries and lineage mapping
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric for integrated data analytics and governance.
  • Experience with Palantir Foundry or Vantiq platforms.
  • Familiarity with machine learning, AI, and predictive analytics tools or frameworks.
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, or Snowflake.
  • Knowledge of API integrations, data pipelines, and modern data architectures.
  • Experience in data-rich industries such as healthcare, finance, and manufacturing.
