CSSD TECHNICIAN FOR A REPUTED HOSPITAL,JABALPUR
Job Description :-
Seeking an experienced CSSD Incharge to oversee the Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD). The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing sterilization processes, ensuring infection control compliance, and maintaining the supply of sterile medical instruments across the hospital.
Key Responsibilities:-
· Supervise and manage the sterilization, disinfection, and decontamination of surgical instruments and medical equipment.
· Ensure compliance with NABH and hospital infection control protocols.
· Oversee proper handling, packaging, labeling, and storage of sterilized equipment.
· Maintain sterilization records and reports for audits and regulatory compliance.
· Implement quality control measures to prevent cross-contamination and hospital-acquired infections (HAIs).
· Monitor the performance of autoclaves, ETO sterilizers, and other disinfection equipment.
· Train and supervise CSSD technicians and support staff.
· Coordinate with operation theatres (OTs), ICUs, and other hospital departments for timely supply of sterile materials.
· Ensure inventory management of surgical instruments, disposables, and sterilization materials.
Required Skills & Qualifications:-
· Diploma in CSSD Technology / Sterilization Technology / Hospital Infection Control.
· 2-10 years of experience in a hospital-based CSSD unit.
· Strong knowledge of infection control protocols, sterilization techniques, and hospital hygiene standards.
· Experience in handling autoclaves, ETO sterilizers, and plasma sterilization units.
· Familiarity with CSSD documentation, hospital quality standards, and regulatory audits.
· Excellent leadership and team management skills.
· Strong communication and coordination abilities with clinical and non-clinical teams.
