Job Title: ETP Operator

Location: Dakachiya, Indore (Confectionery Unit)

Department: Production / Utilities

Reports To: Unit Head / Maintenance Head

Job Purpose: To ensure the effective operation, monitoring, and maintenance of the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) at the confectionery unit. The ETP Operator will be responsible for maintaining compliance with statutory environmental standards and ensuring safe disposal of effluents as per guidelines.

• Key Responsibilities:Operate and monitor the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) on a daily basis.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and pollution control norms.
• Conduct routine checks and testing of wastewater parameters as per SOP.
• Maintain proper records of daily operations, logbooks, and reports.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and minor troubleshooting of ETP equipment.
• Coordinate with external agencies and internal teams for water and effluent testing.
• Ensure safety measures are followed during handling of chemicals and equipment.
• Maintain stock of consumables and chemicals required for ETP operations.
• Report any abnormalities, breakdowns, or deviations immediately to the supervisor.
• Support audits and inspections conducted by regulatory authorities.
• Qualifications & Experience:Graduate in Science / Environmental Science / related discipline.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in ETP operations in a manufacturing unit (preferably food/confectionery/FMCG).
• Basic knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and relevant statutory norms.
• Familiarity with ETP testing, handling of chemicals, and equipment maintenance.
• Key Skills:Technical knowledge of effluent treatment processes.
• Ability to work independently and handle emergency situations.
• Record-keeping and basic computer skills (MS Excel / Word).
• Good communication and teamwork.
