Role & responsibilities

  • Support in ensuring compliance with labour laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Assist in managing employee relations at the shop floor level and maintaining a harmonious working environment
  • Coordinate with contract labour vendors to ensure compliance with statutory requirements
  • Maintain records of IR & ER activities including grievances, disciplinary actions, and compliance registers
  • Support in handling employee grievances and escalate critical issues to Manager-IR & ER
  • Assist in counselling employees in coordination with relevant stakeholder
  • Liaise with government/statutory authorities for inspections, returns, and documentation
  • Monitor attendance, absenteeism, overtime, and wage-related compliance for blue-collar employees
  • Support in the implementation of welfare measures, employee retention initiatives, and engagement activities for workers
  • Assist in preventing potential labour unrest by maintaining proactive communication with workers and supervisors
  • Stay updated on relevant labour laws and provide inputs to management for timely action
  • Prepare MIS reports related to IR & ER activitie

Preferred candidate profile

Education:-MBA-HR / MSW / PG Diploma in Labour Law (or equivalent)

Required Experience: 7-10 years of experience in Industrial Relations & Employee Relations, preferably in a large manufacturing setup. Must have hands-on experience in blue-collar workforce management & contract labour compliance.

Knowledge:

  • Good understanding of Labour Laws (Factories Act, Contract Labour Act, BOCW Act, etc.)
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements related to contract labour, attendance, wages, and statutory obligations
  • Must have experience on Union management (Currently handling minimum 2k+ manpower)

  • Ability to understand and apply labour laws, company policies, and compliance guidelines
