Job Title: Junior Accountant

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounting Operations:
  • Handle day-to-day accounting entries, including purchases, administrative, and service bills.
  • Manage and process all banking transactions and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring timely and accurate recording of all financial data.
  • Taxation & Compliance:
  • Apply working knowledge of TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) and GST (Goods and Services Tax) for accurate deductions, filings, and compliance.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of statutory returns.
  • Reconciliation & Reporting:
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Update accounts receivable and payable, and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
  • ERP & Software Management:
  • Operate accounting software, with a focus on ERP systems and Tally.
  • Maintain and update financial records in the accounting system.
  • Administrative Support:
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for billing and payment-related queries.
  • Support senior accountants and management with audits, budgeting, and other projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience (freshers with strong internship experience may also apply).
  • Strong working knowledge of TDS and GST regulations.
  • Proficiency in Tally and ERP accounting systems.
  • Good command of MS Excel and basic office applications.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
