Debt Collections is a challenging experience for many lenders, new-age fintechs, established banks, or NBFCs, involving a unique set of skills to contact and engage with delinquent borrowers. Legodesk's unique approach supports collection operations end-to-end by dispatching legal notices, engaging tele-collections, field teams, filing suits for recoveries, and conducting Alternative Dispute Resolution proceedings.

Role: Legal Executive

The Legal Executive plays a vital supporting role in the overall management of the law firm's monitoring or recovery-related matters. This includes legal audits, ensuring the enforceability of documents, recovery initiatives, and follow-ups with business partners, as well as reviewing securities and the legality of documents.

Responsibilities:

  1. Draft written statements, miscellaneous applications, replies, and police complaints.
  2. Review, draft, and vet contracts and agreements for clients.
  3. Draft replies to notices received from advocates, law enforcement agencies, statutory/regulatory bodies, etc.
  4. Retrieve the required details and data for drafting written statements, miscellaneous applications, notices, notice replies, and police complaints.
  5. Assist clients in Arbitration, Lok adalats, conciliation, and other matters.
  6. Onboard Lawyers in different cities to engage them based on the Client's requirements.
  7. Maintain MIS (Management Information System) of all litigation against the company, senior management, and officers.
  8. Follow up on a case-to-case basis with advocates/legal officers.
  9. Ensure the timely processing of advocate/vendor bills.
  10. Manage legal operations like Case filings, dispatch of Legal notices.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  1. A 3-year or 5-year integrated LLB Degree.
  2. Experience in handling litigation (consumer, civil, criminal, and insolvency matters).
  3. Strong written and oral communication skills.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software products, including Internet, Outlook, Word, Excel, video conferencing tools, communication tools, and PowerPoint.
