Senior Performance Engineer

As a part of the team, you will deliver technology stack, using strong analytical and problem solving skills to understand the business requirements and deliver quality solutions. You'll be working on complex technical problems that will involve detailed analytical skills and analysis. This will be done in conjunction with fellow engineers, business analysts and business stakeholders.

To be successful as a Senior Performance Engineer you should have experience with:

• Experience in performance testing and engineering.
• Comprehensive end-to-end involvement in performance testing and engineering projects which includes NFR, Architecture, Planning, execution etc.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Microfocus Load Runner, JMeter, and K6.
• Familiar with AppDynamics and Dynatrace.
• Knowledge of Gen AI Implementation for Performance Engineering projects.
• Knowledge of Public Cloud (AWS) and Private Cloud (Red Hat Open Shift).
• Hands on experience for Monitoring Dashboard Preparation using Kibana & Grafana.
• Experience in operational and failover testing.
• Knowledge of observability, including business-based and infrastructure-based alerts.
• Experience with chaos engineering using Gremlin or AWS FIS.

Some other highly valued skills include:

• Experience with load injection tools such as Load Runner and JMeter.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like AppDynamics and other monitoring solutions.
• Strong background in AWS and Red Hat Cloud.
• Solid understanding of performance engineering concepts, including database and Java tuning.
• Experience with operational and failover testing.
• Knowledge of observability, including business-based and infrastructure-based alerts.

Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

Accountabilities

• Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
• Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
• Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization's technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
• Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
• Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
