YOUR NEW ROLE

• As part of a specialist Performance Engineering Team, you will work across all disciplines (Performance Engineering, Service Virtualization and Quality Analytics), to enable and transform quality practices within the bank's platform teams. 
• Innovate with new and existing tools, processes, practices and industrialize them into a regular delivery cycle agnostic of delivery methodology.  Identify required resource needs specific to each engagement. Work to define and influence the ongoing QE solution process for all delivery engagements after uplift. 
• Influence key stake holders in technology from the head of, delivery teams, business analysts, product owners and others in understanding the rationale for your prescribed solution.
• Implement performance, scalability and reliability testing strategies.
• Capture and analyse key performance metrics to identify bottlenecks.
• Work closely with developers, DevOps and infrastructure team to optimize the system performance.
• Review Application Architecture and assess the performance impact to system's component

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• Strong knowledge of Performance Testing methodologies and best practices.
• Understanding of Web Technologies (HTTPS, REST APIs, Kafka, Databases etc.)
• Proven experience with performance testing tools (e.g., Gatling, JMeter, Load Runner etc.)
• Strong skills in capturing, analysing and optimizing performance metrics.
• Proficient in identifying performance bottlenecks in various system components (APIs, Server, databases etc.)
• Strong knowledge of JVM Monitoring, Thread analysis and RESTFul Services.
• Experience in Agile Methodology and Test Management tools and techniques.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Software/Computer Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Software Programming or related tertiary qualification is advantageous.
